Marsala Family Funny…. March 23, 2007

So as many of you may know Spencer, Quino and Myself were supposed to be on a plane to Mexico as of 8:20 am this morning. We got up did our thing and even had enough time to pick up Nonno. We get to airport and read the sign that says…Mexico City “N” Gate…which just so happens to be Mexicana. So we stand in the line and get to the lady and guess what;”You are in the WRONG gate”. So Bru, Nonno and I walk with the kids over to Air Canada gate “K” International flights (mind you this was note posted very clearly on the board) We have E-tickets. So how do we know that we’re flying Air Canada? Well we get through the line there and the lady starts chatting my ear off how my Birth Certificate should have my married name on it now. Yadda yadda….”Oh” she says. “This flight is closed.” So I say to Bru as the lady walks over to some short older man in a suit; “What the hell does that mean?” “I don’t know” is Bru’s response. The lady comes back and says “Sorry you can’t get on this flight. You’ll have to purchase another to ticket for another time.” I’m standing there ready to freak and then the lead hand comes over and says matter of factly; “Yeah sorry there’s nothing we can do. The plane is closed.We can’t get your luggage on the plane.” So now I want to knock her block off too. Where the @!#% is the customer service there!!!! So anyways the lady over in the ticket sales ends up being great and asks her supervisor if she can put us on the 7:10pm flight tonite. Our tickets are non-negotiable…and she does it for us anyways…all it cost was an extra 100 bucks!! Why couldn’t they offer to take our luggage on the later flight and allow us to fly on the morning flight? I really am not impressed with AC right now!

Anyways. See you all when we get back. Now I have time to load my ipod with some music and relax on the night flight.

Mexico City here we come….. March 22, 2007

So Spence, Quino and I are off to meet up with Nanna..a.k.a Soco! We leave this friday…which I have yet to fully pack for! We are going to stay until the 2nd of April. This will be interesting to see how we survive the trip there. This will be the first time I go on a plane by myself with the kids. All I can say is it’ll be interesting. I’ll be posting some pictures when we get back! Oh yeah and I’m on facebook too! I’ll post on there too! See you all when we get back!

Soco and Bill’s 35th Anniversary! March 14, 2007

So we went to Gaby’s for another milestone year for Soco and Billy Bob! 35 years. How do they do it? All I can say is…”that’s love baby!”

I think they look so great!

 

We had a great feast at Gaby’s…as per usual! We hung out and watched movies and played cards!

Cute and cuddly…Santiago is cute as pie!

My nights…. March 1, 2007

It’s funny because I am grateful that Spence is in school, but I also find it bitter sweet sometimes. The nights before (he only goes tuesday/thursday right now) kill me. I don’t get to relax. I have so much to do….

1. Get clothes out
2. make sure the library book is read for the last time (wednesday nights)
3. then make sure the school bag is packed (Tuesday I forgot indoor shoes…thank God I had an extra pair in his cubby)
4. Make sure that once Spencer falls asleep the Library book ends up in the school bag.
5. And the list goes on…..

So the night before I hate finding something to make for dinner because I know that I won’t be able to sit for a long while…..tonight is a treat that I’m on the computer because Bru is upstairs giving the monkeys their bath! So i thought I’d quickly add an extra blog for the day and then call it a night! I’m gonna call it a night!!!
